Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Whilst our volunteer editors will do their best to ensure our events listings are as up to date and accurate as possible; with the fast pace of how things are changing, it is inevitable that some will slip through the net. If you are planning on travelling for larger events, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly to avoid disappointment. We are putting in place new measures to give event organisers a friendly reminder to see if they wish to remove cancelled events, so we're sorry if it looks a bit bare in here :(

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for free, professional advice.

Events this Month

Everyman Folk Club presents Crows, 31st May 2024, 19:30 to 22:30 at Riverside Centre, Great Glemham Road, Stratford St. Andrew, Saxmundham (13.8 miles)
These four well-known and highly respected performers have a unique blend of power and warmth. Mick Ryan (vocals), Dave Bordewey (vocals, fiddle, mando-cello), Paul Downes (vocals, guitar, banjo, mando-cello), and Pete Harris (vocals, guitar, bouzouki) perform a mix of original and traditional music with brilliant harmonies and imaginative and stunning instrumentation. Exemplary musicianship.

The Everyman meets on the last Friday of each month during January to May and September to November. Doors open at 7.00pm and all events start at 7.30pm prompt. With Residents, Floor Singers and a Booked Guest Artist on every occasion, there is always a warm welcome for new performers and audience members.


Local Clubs

Diss and District Camera Club meet at Grasmere Club, Lower Denmark Street, Diss (7.5 miles)
We meet on the first and third Tuesday of each month from September to May and the programme includes competitions, guest speakers, and external visits. Work includes both traditional and digital
The club is the place to enjoy yourself, and share good ideas with like minded people; Membership is open to anyone with an interest in photography (amateurs, enthusiasts, and professional)

Royal British Legion meet at Grassmere, Lower Denmark Street, Diss (7.5 miles)
We meet at "Grassmere" Denmark street, diss, the old conservative club on the third monday of the month, the actual club opens @ 7pm and will sell drinks to our group, the meeting is at 7.30pm in the adjoining hall, we have a speaker and the general meeting with a small break for comfort and a refill, we have an extensive social programme, i.e. five outings including a five day trip to Edinburgh taking in the Tatoo, we have quizz evenings, fish & chip suppers, and an annual BBQ, everyone is most welcome, you don't necessary of served, you can become an affiliated member, we need help to fund raise, sell poppies and keep the branch alive, PLEASE COME ALONG AND HAVE FUN WHILST HELPING OTHERS. Silver Dollar Country Music Club meet at The Park Hotel, Denmark Street, Diss (7.3 miles)
The Silver Dollar Country Music Club meets alternate Sundays for an evening of country music. We pride ourselves in providingĀ a good mixture of country music. The Club has been going for over 30 years. Membership is available.

Wilby Caterpillar Dance Club meet at Wilby Coronation Hall, Marriotts Close, Wilby, Eye (6.2 miles)
The Caterpillar Dance Club provides an opportunity for members to practise sequence dances, both old and new, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Meets 7.30 Monday evenings in the Coronation Hall. New members welcome any Monday evening. Social Dance to Live Music most Saturdays 8.00 - 11.45pm
